Alcohol Tester
An alcohol tester, also known as an alcohol breath analyzer or breathalyzer, is a portable device used to measure the alcohol concentration in a person’s breath. A breathalyzer or breathalyser (a portmanteau of breath and analyzer/analyser) is a device for estimating blood alcohol content (BAC), or to detect viruses or diseases from a breath sample. Breathalysers usually collect a breath sample by either blowing through a straw or mouthpiece and a portion of the breath is then analysed using a built in sensor. It is commonly used to determine if someone has consumed alcohol and is often employed by law enforcement officials for roadside sobriety testing. The usage of an alcohol tester, also known as a breathalyzer, is to determine the presence and concentration of alcohol in an individual’s breath. It is commonly used in various settings, including law enforcement, workplace safety, and personal use.
The operation of an alcohol tester typically involves the following steps:
- Breath Sample Collection: The person being tested exhales into the device through a mouthpiece or a sensor. It is essential to follow the device’s instructions on how to provide a proper breath sample.
